OVERVIEW
This course aims to provide project team members in organisations with an overview of the PRINCE2 methodology. The aim of the workshop is to familiarize team members with the basic PRINCE2 concepts including: Components, Techniques and Processes. On completion of the workshop, management will be able to be an effective member of a PRINCE2 project. PRINCE2 is derived from the earlier PRINCE project management method.
The course can be used as a basis for more detailed study of the PRINCE2 method through other courses.
PRINCE2 is a method for managing projects and the workshop clarifies the impact on management involved in PRINCE2 projects. Structured project management means managing the project in a logical, organised way, following defined steps. A structured project management method is the written description of this logical, organised approach, PRINCE2 (projects in a controlled environment) is a structured project management method.
The method helps management establish who should be involved and what they will be responsible for. It gives a set of processes to work through and explains what information to be gathering along the way. Good projects, which deliver quality results, on-time and within budget are dependent on the capability of people involved from Project Board to individual members.

PRE-REQUISITE LEARNING
Workshop delegates should preferably have some experience in a project environment. Delegates who successfully complete the course are encouraged to pursue PRINCE2 Foundation accreditation.
COURSE CONTENT
This workshop is guided by the syllabus set down by the APM Group, including:
- History of PRINCE2
- Basic PRINCE2 concepts
- PRINCE2 Techniques
- PRINCE2 Processes and the project life cycle
- Applying PRINCE2 in your environment.
DURATION & DELIVERY
This is a highly interactive one day event, and is specifically designed to the requirements of the audience.
The workshop is delivered with a blend of classroom training and interactive discussion sessions. All our facilitators are accredited by the APMG Group.
Delegates receive pre-workshop study material and a PRINCE2 Pocket Book on completion of the workshop.
On completion of the workshop a small quiz will be conducted and candidates are presented with a PM Academy certificate of attendance.
The course may be delivered at our premises or alternatively we also tailor the course to be delivered in-house with adequate attendees.
